Russian-born Tennis Player Melissa Ifidzhen Wins Big At 38th CBN Tennis Open In Lagos

On Saturday June 25th 2016, our very own Russian born tennis player, Melissa Ifidzhen emerged women’s singles and doubles champion of the 38th Central Bank of Nigeria Open Tennis Championship in Lagos. As the defending champion, Melissa magnificently defended her crown with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Christy Agugbom, whom she defeated in last year’s final.

Melissa Ifidzhen also teamed up with Sarah Adegoke to win the women’s Doubles trophy by beating the pair of Christy Agugbom and Blessing Samuel 6-0, 6-2 in the final.
