Bedrock Foundation, a sponsor of the University of Benin Marathon race since its 7th edition in 2019, 8th edition in 2021 and now continued its support for youth empowerment and health management by sponsoring the 9th edition of the Marathon race held on February 11th, 2023. The event began in the early hours of the morning at the UNIBEN Sports Complex and had over 500 participants covering several kilometers. The winners of the male and female categories received cash prizes while many other participants who took part in the marathon race were also awarded consolation prizes.

Some of the dignitaries in attendance includes; Uniben Sports Director, Prof Agbonlahor, Mr West Salami, and Mr Onome Ikomi Ubi. The Chairman of Bedrock Foundation, Engr Osa Owieadolor was represented by the Programme Coordinator, Ms Jennifer Odeh.
